MALACCA STRAITS HOTEL,
No. 27, Jalan Chan Koon Cheng,
Off Jalan Parameswara,
75000 Melaka

MALACCA STRAITS HOTEL is a cozy 45-room Boutique style hotel, located in the heart of Melaka town. Designed for travelers hoping to capture some of the "old world charm" of this historic 600 year old town, traditional Batik motives, exotic Songket fabrics and original designer pieces of teak hard-wood furniture are used and showcased extensively in the interior design - creating a look that is at once stylish and distinctly Malaysian.

Malacca Straits Hotel is designed to accomodate families on vacation, travelers seeking to experience the local culture, or busy corporate executives requiring professional and efficient services in the day and quiet downtime in the evening.
We invite you to visit us and to allow us to shower you with good old fashioned Melakan hospitality. Experience "Heritage Woven in Hospitality" in a setting that is truly Malaysian, truly Asian.

Batik is both an art and a craft -The word 'batik' originates from the javanese 'tik' and means to dot. Batik is the art of decorating cloth, using wax and dye, and has been practised for centuries in Malaysia and other parts of South East Asia.

Songket is a traditional Malay fabric, hand woven on a Malay frame loom using gold and silver threads. Elaborate patterns are created by introducing extra gold or silver weft threads with the use of a flat needle. Songket is usually worn by both men and women during official functions and important ceremonies.
